Potty training

My son's potty training...

My son already 2 years old. I started train him to use potty when he was 20 months because my parent commented why he still does not know "pi-pi" in the potty when I brought him back to hometown. I felt it is the time to train him already because my niece already knew how to "pi-pi" or "po-po" in the potty when she was around this age.

I checked and read how to train baby use potty in the internet, I tried and tried. Started with soft voice to encourage him to use his potty and most of the time he didn't manage to "pi-pi" in the potty. Sometime I yell because I was too tired to train and feel disappointed when he was not able to follow instruction. Slowly I noticed he felt scare to "pi-pi" especially when I was around or if he was not managed "pi-pi" in the potty. He will show the "scare" look to me because he scares I will scold him. I realised it should not be like this, I believe one day he can do it. I changed my strategic and talk to myself that I have to control myself and continue give encouragement to him.

Finally now he knows he has to "pi-pi" into the potty. Now when he wants to "pi-pi", he will faster stand up and run to his potty. He brings the potty to anyone because he needs someone to pull down his pant. After he "pi-pi", he will clap his hand and wants people clap hand as well. He will see and observe anyone didn't clap hand to celebrate with him. When he finally get everyone clap hand, he will show his happy smiling face and said "yeah...". That is the cute moment to me see his expression. Sometime there is a bit of urine drop out, he will say "oh-oh" and show disappointed face. Then I have to tell him "don't worry, don't scare, you are clever boy", then he fell better and play around again. Now he does not like to wear pampers in the daytime, sometime also don't want to wear at the night because he feels more comfort without wearing pampers.

However my son still refuses to use potty when he wants to "po-po". So wondering anyone can give advice or share your experience how to get your baby to "po-po" in the potty. Nowsaday I got a headache because have to pick up his shit on the floor. I can't control him to sit down on the potty when he wants to "po-po".
